The Roofing production employee is responsible for a wide variety of activities including installation of new types of commercial roofing systems.


  • Ability to safely handle tools and materials commonly found in the construction industry.
  • Work in a team on commercial and residential roofs.
  • Pull inventory and ensure all materials are available to complete the job.
  • Install or sometimes replace commercial roofing systems, using waterproof sheet materials such as modified plastics, elastomeric, or other asphaltic compositions as requested by customer.
  • Install vapor barriers and/or layers of insulation on the roof decks of flat roofs and seal the seams.
  • Cut roofing materials to size using knives; and nail or staple roofing paper to roofs in overlapping strips to form bases for other materials.
  • Install partially overlapping layers of material over roof insulation surfaces, determining distance of roofing material overlap.
  • Ability to safely handle tools and materials commonly found in the construction industry.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • High School Diploma.
  • Experience preferred.


This job is generally performed indoors, but some outside work all elements may be required. Occasionally work in cramped spaces. May require long periods of standing and kneeling. May be exposed to dirt, dust, debris, or fumes. May be subject to noisy machinery. May need to travel to job site on occasions (+- weeks at a time).


  • Must be able to work at heights fourteen (14) + feet on top of units/mods.
  • Physic ally able to climb, stand, walk, kneel, and crouch for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift to 50 pounds at a time and carry roofing materials.
  • Manual dexterity.


This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Overtime on weekends and extension of shift times will be required. Work outside of this schedule may be required as business needs dictate.
